DRAWING WITH RESTRICTIONS + ZINE
BY MAYA STROBBE FROM RAMSDAM BOOKS
SAT NOV. 2ND 12:30-14:30
Maya Strobbe makes repetitive drawings in which many shapes and objects reappear again and again. Drawing templates are essential tools within her drawing practice. Instead of thinking about new shapes, she often brings existing shapes together into something new. Always the same but just a little bit different.
This workshop is about drawing with limitations, and how it can change the way you approach the act of drawing. In the end we make a zine that each of you gets to take home. Open for all ages and experience levels. Instagram: ramsdambooks

COLLECTIVE COVERS
BY ITS TIME TO GO PEOPLE
SUN NOV. 3RD 15:30-17:30
Collective Covers combines music and mixed media collaging to explore and share each others works. Utilising the standard 20” vinyl format, this workshop consists of two parts: an intense explosion of colour and collage to our tailored playlist, working with limitations to explore creative opportunities, followed by a more refined approach to an eclectic playlist chosen by you! This workshop aims to bring back our explorative nature and inspire us to have no fear of the page. This is an opportunity to extend your comfort zone, free yourself of your inhibitions, and get inspired by collectively creating with others in a fast-paced environment. COLOUR JUXTAPOSING
BY NANNA VAN HEEST
SUN NOV. 3RD 12:30-14:30
The goal of this workshop is to train and develop your eye for colour and enjoy the magic of colour interaction. By doing a short series of hands-on exercises and experiments we will work with the phenomenon of different colour contrasts. And explore how to successfully juxtapose colours for a desired effect.
Inspired by the exercises from Josef Albers (Interaction of Color published 1963) we will start with combining different coloured paper in assemblages to recognize the influence of one element upon another. After that we will experiment with Colour Quantity in order to tell a story by making a Zine using ONLY coloured paper.

BLUE (DAH BA DEE DAH BA DAA), CYANOTYPE PRINTING WORKSHOP
BY MARLOES DE VRIES
SAT NOV. 2ND 12:30-14:30
In this workshop you will get familiar with the cyanotype process and explore the technique creatively using different (found) objects, exposure times and differences in water acidity. The process uses two chemicals: ferric ammonium citrate and potassium ferricyanide and produces a cyan-blue photogram when exposed to UV light.
The Cyanotype process was discovered in 1842 by Sir John Hershel, an astronomer, who needed a simple way of copying his notes. Not long after, Anna Atkins, one of the few women in photography during that century, published the first book illustrated with photographs instead of illustrations, “British Algae: Cyanotype Impressions”.
All materials will be provided.

YOUR / YOU'RE MENTAL
BY WILL VINCENT
SAT NOV. 2ND 15:30-17:30
All of us have a brain - whether we’re friends with it seems to be a matter of luck. The creative process is a time honoured partner to the exploration of our mental states; as collaboration and restriction are themselves partners to the creative process.
This zinecamp workshop will be a collaborative zine based around the exquisite corpse exercise. We’ll be collaging found images and text to unravel a narrative around the theme of mental health - exploring how humour can help us express our stories.
I’ll be bringing a selection of found images to the workshop and invite you to bring your own if there are any you particularly wish to work with. Newspapers / brochures / flyers are a great resource to mine. The workshop will be limited to 12 people, please contact me on will@mrwillvincent.co.uk to sign up. Cheers!
